China Secures Mixed Doulbes Crown at World Junior Badminton

China secured the mixed doubles crown by taking the final spots at the World Junior Badminton Championships Saturday evening in Guangzhou.

After claiming the first set, top-seeded Zheng Bo and Wei Yili, the Asian junior champions, scored 11 consecutive points from 1-4 down in the second for the 7-4, 7-4, 7-0 victory over South Korea's sixth seed Lee Jae Jin and Hwang Yu Mi, who had swept past Chinese fourth seed Zhang Zhijie and Zhang Zhibo in the quarter-finals.

"I am very happy that the mixed doubles crown now belongs to China," said Wei, the 17-year-old girl from Yichang, Hubei province.
