Angola Reiterates Insistence on One-China Policy

An Angolan ruling party leader reiterated in Luanda on Friday the government's insistence on One China Policy and its full support for China's policy on Taiwan.

Francisca Paiva, acting secretary general of the People's Movement for Liberation of Angola (MPLA), made the statement during a meeting with a delegation of the All-China Women's Federation, saying that the Angolan government has been backing the cause of China's reunification and will continue to do so in the future.

In her turn, Wang Menglan, head of the delegation, thanked him for his support for China's policies on Taiwan and the humanitarian issues.

During the meeting, Paiva spoke highly of the friendly relationship between the two countries and the two parties of the MPLA and the Communist Party of China.

According to Paiva, the MPLA will do its best to help the Angolan Women's Organization (OMA) further friendly ties with its Chinese counterpart. A delegation of the OMA will pay a return visit to China later.

The five-member Chinese delegation arrived in Angola on Thursday for a five-day tour of the country after its visit to Lesotho.
