CAAC Reports Over 370 Bn. Yuan of Income in Five Years

China's aviation has earned a total of 377.5 billion yuan from transport in the past five years by taking a series of measures such as adjusting the traffic structure and utilizing the surplus transportation capacity.

According to the information provided by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the gross income from the transportation business of China's aviation in 2000 is expected to reach 85 billion yuan. Calculated on the basis of comparable items, the annual increase rate is 9.7 percent. The total income from transport in the last five years hit 377.5 billion yuan. The tax turned over to the State reached 31 billion yuan.

The CAAC announced that the total value of the assets of the affiliated enterprises of CAAC will reach 227.8 billion yuan in 2000. The average annual increase rate during the Five-Year Plan period will stand at 10.8 percent. The asset-liability ratio will drop to 68.9 percent at the end of this year, down by 11.7 percent in five years.
