Official in State-owned Business Sentenced to Death
An official in a state-owned enterprise was sentenced to death on November 8 for embezzling and misappropriating 3.03 million yuan (about US$ 360,000).
When in charge of the general office of China National Corporation of Construction Material between 1993 and 1997, Xie Mafang, 45, embezzled the corporation funds for housing construction, leasing and repairs.
