US Presidency Hinges on Florida Recount
Florida's presidential election tally will be subjected to a recount on November 8 that may help determine whether Republican George W. Bush or Democrat Al Gore goes to the White House, a top state official said.
Florida Attorney General Bob Butterworth, a Democrat who also is Gore's state campaign chairman, said the recount could be completed by the end of the day.
