China to Build Nationwide Long-distance Education System
China is to build a nationwide modern long-distance education system, which will be jointly undertaken by Central Radio and TV University (CRTVU) and TCL Group.
Over 2 million CRTVU students and several million CRTVU postgraduates will be benefited by the system, which is also to be put at the service of over 30 million trainees and a great mass of net surfers. With this, it is said, China is going to set up a long-distance education system of the world's largest and of great modernity.
Experts say China will make most of long-distance education and an integrated use will be evolved on computer, satellite TV and other forms of telecommunication in developing its education on the web.
