Chinese Army Develops New Computer System
The Chinese army has developed a new computer system which is expected to significantly improve its combat capability.
The system, which is an operational platform for decision- making and commanding, was approved November 7 by the General Armament Department of the People's Liberation Army.
Sources said that the system includes a data base and a data control and analysis processor, which can quickly handle floods of incoming information.
This is the first time that a comprehensive artificial intelligence technology has been used in supervising battle situations.
The system was developed by the Science And Technology University of National Defense and can also be used in civilian sectors.
