HK's Administrative Secretary Continue Promotional Efforts in New Zealand

Anson Chan, administrative secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Tuesday continued to encourage inward investment and to update the local community on the latest developments in Hong Kong.

Chan started the busy day by addressing a breakfast seminar attended by 170 leading figures in the business sector and visited two hi-tech companies.

During her visit to Brocker Technology, a leading provider of services to the communications and computing industries of Australia and New Zealand, Chan attended a demonstration on a new product of the company - a one-number personal communication service and unified messaging system. The company had just signed a joint venture agreement with a Hong Kong company to distribute their products in six key Asian markets which include Hong Kong, India, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore and the Republic of Korea.

Chan flew to Wellington in late afternoon and attended a dinner hosted by the Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand Chen Wenzhao.
