HK's Foreign Currency Reserve Increases in October

The official foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong amounted to 102.7 billion $US at the end of October 2000, up from 101.5 billion $US at the end of September, according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) on November 7.

Including unsettled forward contracts, the foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong stood at 102.7 billion $US at the end of October.

Hong Kong ranks the fourth in terms of foreign currency reserves, behind Japan, China's interior and Taiwan.
