HK's Foreign Currency Reserve Increases in OctoberThe official foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong amounted to 102.7 billion $US at the end of October 2000, up from 101.5 billion $US at the end of September, according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) on November 7.Including unsettled forward contracts, the foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong stood at 102.7 billion $US at the end of October. Hong Kong ranks the fourth in terms of foreign currency reserves, behind Japan, China's interior and Taiwan.
