China to Boost Technological Cooperation with Kenya

China is willing to strengthen cooperation of science and technology with Kenya, a visiting Chinese vice-minister said November 7 in Nairobi.

With the rapid development of its science and technology, China would like to share its experience and knowledge in this regard with developing countries, said Deng Nan, China's vice-minister for Science and Technology, when talking to Kenyan Foreign Minister Bonaya Godana.

Godana said that Kenya highly valued the cordial relations between the two countries.

Kenya wanted to cooperate with China in the areas of information technology and man-power training, he said, adding that China's applied technology will be useful for Kenya and the two countries can explore opportunities in the area.

Deng Nan said trade and economic cooperation between the two countries should be boosted through bilateral cooperation in science and technology.

Since Kenya's independence in 1963, the two countries have enjoyed good ties which are going from strength to strength, according to Godana.
