Foreign Garbage Confiscated on Ship in Guangxi
For the first time the Fangcheng Port Quarantine Office in Southeast China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has ferreted out a large shipment of garbage from a freighter from Vietnam.
The ship carried more than 100 containers. While inspecting these containers, the workers of the Fangcheng Port Quarantine Office found a large amount of garbage in one container.
The garbage includes used condoms, disposable syringes, toilet paper and other wastes, which could bring overseas infectious diseases to China.
The workers immediately disinfected this garbage on the spot.
