Xu Yinchuan Won "Grand Chinese Chess Saint" Title

In the 3rd Guangyang Cup "Grand Chinese Chess Saint" Match held from Oct. 30 to Nov. 6 in Pudong District, Shanghai, Xu Yinchuan is reported to have squeezed past Jin Bo to win the "Saint" title.

Sixteen top Chinese chess players had joined in the chess match. Among the players were included Xu Yinchuan, Lu Qin, Tao Hanming, Zhao Guorong, Hu Ronghua, Liu Dianzhong, Xu Tianhong, Yu Youhua, Bu Fengbo, Yan Wenqing, Jin Bo, Huang Hailin, Liu Dahua, Hong Zhi, Zong Yongsheng and Sun Yongzheng.

The "Chess Saint" match had been launched at a top level as is generally regarded, with a bonus of RMB$50,000 yuan awarded.
