Ukrainian Parliament Speaker to Visit South Korea

Ukraine's Parliament Chairman Ivan Plyushch will leave Tuesday for a three-day official visit to South Korea at the invitation of his South Korean counterpart, Lee Man-sup.

Plyushch will meet with Lee and President Kim Dae-jung to discuss bilateral relations, said Victor Ukolov, Plyushch's press secretary on Monday.

The Ukrainian speaker, to be accompanied by more than 20 businessmen, will call on South Korean entrepreneurs to invest more money in Ukraine and further develop bilateral trade, Ukolov said.

During his stay in South Korea, the Ukrainian top legislator will visit Korea Telecom, South Korea's largest telecommunications company. He will also visit the demilitarized zone between South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Ukolov said.
