Vice-Premier Meets Delegates to Int'l Conference on Science Communication
Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing met Monday with delegates to the International Conference on Science Communication.

Nearly 300 scientists and scholars specializing in science communication attended the four-day gathering, which opened in Beijing earlier Monday.

Scheduled for discussion are ways to improve the science knowledge of the public, issues involving construction of science communication facilities and museums, production of science articles, science education, science stories and the role of media and the struggle against pseudoscience and superstition.

Among those attending the conference are Jon D. Miller, president of a US-based science literary center, Ellis Rubinstein, editor of the world's largest circulating science magazine Science, James Randi, president of the James Randi Educational Foundation.
