CPPCC Chairman Arrives in HK for Inspection Tour
Li Ruihuan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), arrived in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Sunday for an inspection tour.
This is Li's first visit to Hong Kong. He was greeted at the Hong Kong International Airport by Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa and other officials.
During his five-day tour, Li will meet with senior Hong Kong officials and noted figures from various circles as well as attending the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.
He will also visit the Tai Po Old Market Public School, Tai Po Hospital, Bank of China, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Tsing Ma Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge and Ting Kau Bridge.
