Shanghai Art Expo Opens
The Fourth Shanghai Art Expo drew its curtain Friday in this metropolitan city as part of the Second Shanghai International Arts Festival.
More than 200 display areas are decorated with the beauty of art works of galleries from 18 countries and regions including the United States, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, Japan, Austria, Congo, Iceland and China.
The exposition features traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings and sculptures, said a local cultural official, adding that a series of art seminars and exhibitions will be held during the event.
Some websites have also presented many classic paintings including 18 paintings featuring Beijing opera by Chinese painter Liu Linghu, and an oil painting by Xu Beihong, a renowned Chinese painter.
