International TV & Film Magnate Favor Chinese Markets

During the 8th Shanghai TV Festival, many world-famous companies all actively plan to hold different kinds of activities with media, creating an atmosphere of competition for the festival.

Some 246 TV and film companies from 15 countries have their exhibition platforms in the 10,200 square meters hall of the International TV and Film Programs Trade Fair, which is larger than any of the previous one.

Among all the foreign participants, world-famous TV and film organizations hold the leading position, they include Warner Brothers, Disney, Sony, Colombia Broadcasting Corp. Exploration Channel, National Geography Channel as well as MTV musical channel. The European TV and film institutions, which previously did not pay much attention to Asian markets, also started to march toward Chinese markets. On the 100 square meters joint exhibition platform rented by France, there were as many as 15 large companies of TV and films. Besides, some companies from Germany, Britain, Italy, Japan also held a series of activities of promotion, theme exhibition and exchange and sodality with a view to promoting long-term cultural exchange and commercial cooperation instead of limiting themselves to making deals on the fair.
