Chinese Premier Meets BIS Director General

Premier Zhu Rongji met Friday with Director General Andrew Crockett of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).

During the meeting, Zhu expressed satisfaction with the good cooperation between the People's Bank of China and the BIS, saying that he hopes that such cooperation will be more fruitful in the years ahead.

The People's Bank of China established links with BIS in 1984 and became a BIS member in 1996.
