European Parliament Delegation Visits Guizhou

Liu Fangren, secretary of the Guizhou provincial committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the Standing Committee of the provincial People's Congress, met Thursday evening with a delegation from the European Parliament Group for Relations with China led by its Chairman Per Gahrton.

The European guests arrived in Guiyang, capital city of the province from Wuhan Wednesday evening. They observed a village- level direct election near Guiyang and visited a village of the Miao ethnic group earlier today.

The delegation will leave here for Hong Kong Friday afternoon.
