More Corruption Cases Investigated in Ningxia
Procuratorates at various levels in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region placed 307 cases on file for investigation and prosecution in the first three quarters of this year.
Of all the cases, there were 58 cases of corruption, 13 of bribery, 34 of embezzlement of public funds and six of dereliction of duty. A total of 116 officials were involved, said Feng Tianchang, an official of the regional anti-corruption bureau.
Big cases with each involving more than 50,000 yuan totaled 30, one-fifth more than last year's figure. Exposure of these cases saved 6.9 million yuan in public property, he added.
