International Symposium on Listing Companies Held
An international symposium on governing of China's listed companies opened Thursday in Shanghai, the leading financial center of China.
More than 300 financiers and security experts from both China and abroad attended today's opening session, organized by the Shanghai Securities Exchange.
During the two-day symposium, participants will concentrate on the development trend of a mature market and new economy, the relationship between ownership and control power, information release and protection of small investors.
They said it is of great importance to optimize and improve the listing companies when China integrates itself with the world economic system. At present, five key problems exist including the operation of stockholders meetings and the function of the supervisory committee still restrict the development of the security market in China.
