Japanese Enterprises to Expand Cooperation with Chinese Counterparts

Japanese enterprises shall expand cooperation with their Chinese counterparts, while the products of Sino-Japanese joint ventures are expected to enter the Japanese market.

Isao Uchiba, president of the Yokogawa Electric Corporation, leading producer of industrial automation instruments in Japan, made the remarks at a recent ceremony marking the 5th anniversary of the founding of a joint venture between his company and China Silian Instrument Group Co. Ltd.

Isao Uchiba said that he was deeply moved by the rapid economic development China achieved in recent years, and that he is more confident in conducting economic and trade cooperation with China.

He expressed the hope that his company will expand the scope of cooperation with China, and held that the products of Sino- Japanese joint ventures shall enter the Japanese market.

Yokogawa Electric Corporation started economic and trade exchanges with China in the 1950s. The company now has four investment enterprises in Shanghai, Xi'an, Suzhou and Chongqing.
