Xinjiang to Construct Broadband Multimedia Digital Platform
The
Xinjiang
Information Industry Company signed a contract valued 48 million Yuan with Qinghua University to build a broadband multimedia digital platform for broadcasting.
The project will help Xinjiang to realize the transmission of broadband multimedia information via existing cable TV network.
With the adoption of broadband multimedia digital data broadcasting technology, the platform can provide users with comprehensive information including politics, culture, economy and tourism by taking advantage of cable TV networks.
The platform will also enable users to fully utilize educational and cultural resources in relatively developed regions and narrow the regional gap in educational and cultural information.
