Vice President Hu Jintao Called for Improving Computer Safety

Vice President Hu Jintao Wednesday called for government departments to pay close attention to the safety of China's computer systems.

China will develop its own safety system for its computer industry while absorbing advanced technology from abroad, Hu said in a visit to the second China International Computer System Safety Exhibition at the World Trade Center in Beijing Wednesday evening.

More than 70 exhibitors from the United States, Israel, Belgium,the Republic of Korea, Singapore, China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region displayed their latest information safety technology and devices in the 3,500-square-meter exhibition hall.
