Three Palestinians Killed in Gaza
Three Palestinians were killed and 17 others wounded in clashes between Palestinian gunmen and Israeli security forces at Karni checkpoint in Gaza on Tuesday, Palestinian sources said.
Tanks have been brought in to beef up the Israeli forces at the crossing and to deter what they claimed as further Palestinian shooting, Israeli army said.
Despite Israeli helicopter strikes against Palestinian targets Monday night, clashes continued between Palestinians and Israeli troops throughout major cities and towns in the West Bank and Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
More than 140 people, mostly Palestinians, have been killed and thousands more injured in over a month of violent clashes between the two sides.
