Fresh Earthquake Jolts Northern Tibet
An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter Scale jolted Amdo County of Nagqu Prefecture,
Tibet
Autonomous Region, at 1.20 p.m. (
Beijing
time) Tuesday.
Sources from China National Seismological Observatory said that the epicenter of the quake was located at 32.6 degrees north latitude and 91.6 degrees east longitude.
Details about damages and casualties in the affected region are currently unavailable.
