Earthquake Jolts West China
An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale jolted some areas along the Tanggula Range interfacing northwestern
Qinghai
Province and the
Tibet
Autonomous Region in southwest China at 07:17 (
Beijing
time) Tues morning.
According to China Seismological Bureau, the epicenter of the quake is located at 32.8 degrees north latitude and 92.4 degrees east longitude.
No information about the casualty has been available so far due to the inconvenient communication in the temblor-hit area.
