Nanometer Technology Research Center Established in CAS
Nanometer technology is attracting the attention of more and more people from all over the world. A scientific research center on nanometer technology has recently been set up by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) so as to help enhance China's research strength, realize its industrialization and increase its competitiveness in the world. The center is as reported the largest of its kind ever established by CAS in China.
The center consists of a research entity and related websites on nanometer technology. The technological research is centered round some key scientific plans and tasks at state and academic level. And by organizing researchers in various units of different places to use the websites and technologies it is to realize the sharing of related information, technical software, equipment and apparatus, thereby further enhancing the merges and exchanges in between different academic subjects.
In the meantime, CAS will as assessed by experts input 250 million-yuan for the implementation of nanometer technology project, a project of knowledge innovation, which has gathered up the elite researchers from the 11 institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.��
