Thai Queen Visits Guilin

Li Zhaozhuo, chairman of the government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, met with Thai Queen Sirikit Monday evening in Guilin.

He briefed the queen on Guangxi's economic development, and said that the queen's visit to Guangxi will promote friendship and cooperation between Thailand and Guangxi.

Queen Sirikit, who arrived in the southern scenic city of Guilin Sunday evening for a three-day visit, lauded the landscape in Guilin.

The Thai queen also toured the Lijiang River earlier today.

Queen Sirikit began her China visit on October 16 on behalf of King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin and his wife Wang Yeping.
