Sci-Tech Development Objects of 10th Five-year Plan
According to the source from National Sci-tech Work Meeting, China will deploy main tasks of 10th Five-year Plan sci-tech work on 4 aspects: strengthening technological innovation to provide strong momentum to economic structure readjustment, improving the creative innovation and sustained innovation of sci-tech, speeding up sci-tech system innovation to boost the state innovation system construction, creating favorable environment and underpin the team construction of high quality technological talents.
Zhu Lilan, Sci-tech Minister expressed on the meeting that a serial of sci-tech objects had already been clarified. China will greatly increase general technological level and international competitiveness to enable the Chinese agricultural, industrial and service, especially manufacturing level and equipment industries to reach the level of medium 90's of developed countries, with some ascend to the world top list.
And the innovation ability should be improved to gain more research fruits on information industry, biology and new material field.
Besides it is to be realized by 2005 that high-tech industrial added value accounts for more than 20% of the total, high-tech product export values more than 20% of the total and patent applications of high-tech invention increase by 80% over 2000.
Furthermore, basic research will be propelled to get listed among world top 5 to 10.
