China, Japan Build Platform for E-Commerce

Japan Association for the Promotion of International Trade and a Chinese company will jointly build a platform for E-commerce.

The platform, with an estimated investment of 10 million yuan (1.2 million U.S. dollars), will include information exchanges, commodity trading, and settlement services in Chinese, Japanese and English.

The platform is designed to enable businesses, especially smaller ones, to participate in the international competition with the minimum cost.

The platform will be jointly built by the information center under the Japanese organization and a network company in Dalian, a coastal city in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
