Thai Queen Leaves Henan for Guilin to Continue China Tour
Queen Sirikit of Thailand left central China's Henan Province for the southern scenic city of Guilin Sunday afternoon, to continue her China tour.
Earlier today, the queen visited Kaifeng City, which served as the national capital in seven dynasties in the Chinese history, and a theme-park built according to an antique painting that depicts a busy downtown life in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), where she enjoyed folk arts performances.
During her stay in Henan, the Thai queen also visited the Henan Provincial Museum and the famous Longmen Grottoes.
Sirikit began her China tour on October 16 on behalf of King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin and his wife Wang Yeping.
