Sino-Japanese Regional Cooperation Meeting Held in Nanjing
The second conference on regional cooperation between China's middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Japan's Kobe region opened Thursday in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province.
To promote economic exchanges between the two regions, a regional committees were set up by the two sides. The committee on the Japanese side was established in 1996 while that of Chinese side in 1999.
Over the past year, the two regions have made substantial achievements in promoting investment, holding commercial talks, training programs, and exchanging visits by young people.
On July 1 this year, the two sides launched a website on the trade fair of Kobe and the Yangtze River region, which enable enterprises from both sides to directly exchange commercial information.
