Chinese Shipyard Builds Tugboat for Egyptian Navy
A Chinese shipyard recently launched a multipurpose oceangoing tugboat for the Egyptian navy. The 60-meter-long tugboat was built by Zhenjiang Shipyard in east China's Jiangsu Province, which secured the contract through international bidding.
The vessel is equipped with some of the world's most advanced devices, like an underwater camera and a satellite-guided navigational system.
A shipyard source said that the ship is designed for a variety of purposes, such as rescue, fire fighting and supply.
According to Egyptian navy sources, the order was given to Zhenjiang Shipyard because of the shipyard's fine market image and excellent bidding plan.
