China to Exhibit Achievements of Listed Companies

The China Listed Companies Exposition is to be staged on November 30-December 3 in Shanghai, with the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

The exposition, to be jointly held by the Shanghai Expo Center and Shanghai Collaboration International Expo. Ltd, is to showcase the achievements of China's listed companies over the last ten years.

During the exposition, a number of seminars and forums on the Internet and capital market will also be staged, according to organizers.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Chinese stock market. To date, more than 1,100 Chinese companies have gone public on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, compared with 14 in 1990.

Over the decade, listed companies raised some 400 billion yuan from the stock market.

By mid-June, there were more than 50 million investors with accounts on the two stock exchanges, about 10 million more than a year ago.
