Chinese Trade Minister, EU Trade Commissioner Hold Talks

Chinese Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Shi Guangsheng and European Union Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy held talks on Monday.

The two sides exchanged views on speeding up the process of the multilateral talks concerning China's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), a ministry official said Wednesday.

The results of the talks were positive and fruitful, the official added.

After the talks, the two sides also discussed on details of drafting the multilateral documents concerning China's WTO entry.

The two sides have furthered their consensus through the talks and discussion, the official said.
