An exhibition of ink and water color paintings by French painter Charles Chauderlot will open at Hualai Art Gallery this weekend.

Chauderlot's works mainly depict daily life in Beijing's hutongs, or back streets, reflecting his understanding and deep interest in China's vibrant cultural history.

This will be the fifth exhibition of the award winning artist's works to be held in China, he has had three solo shows in Beijing and one in Shanghai.
