Chinese Level Paralympic Gold Medal Tally with Atlanta
Chinese swimmer Zhu Hongyan won the women's 100 meters freestyle S12 title at the Sydney Paralympic Games here on Tuesday, which leveled the Chinese gold medal total to that at the Atlanta Games, at 16.
Zhu clocked one minute 1.97 seconds to break the Paralympic record of 1:04.33 set in the Barcelona Games in 1992 by American Trischa Zorn. Zhu holds the world record of 1:00.01 she set in 1998 in Madrid.
