Kim Jong Il to Hold Second Meeting With Albright Tuesday AfternoonThe Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Il will meet with U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright again in Pyongyang Tuesday afternoon, Yonhap news agency said. The two leaders held their first three-hour meeting Monday afternoon. The first meeting was very substantial and beneficial since Kim and Albright discussed issues of common concern, including nuclear weapons, the report said. The second meeting was scheduled to open in the morning but was delayed. No time has been announced for the second meeting, and Albright's press conference slated for 3:30 p.m. (0630 GMT) Tuesday is expected to be adjusted. Albright, the first ever U.S. secretary of state to visit the DPRK, is in Pyongyang to discuss improvement of bilateral relations and U.S. President Bill Clinton's possible visit to Pyongyang in near future. Tuesday morning, Albright has met Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, and Foreign Minister Paek Nam Sun and will attend a luncheon hosted by Deputy Chairman of the DPRK National Defense Commission Cho Myong Rok, who met Clinton as a special envoy of Kim Jong Il in Washington early this month. Albright, who flew to the DPRK from Japan Monday morning for a three-day visit, will come to Seoul Wednesday from Pyongyang.
