Beijing set up a company for the application of satellite technology Monday. The Hangtian Beikong Satellite Technology Application Company has five share holders. The biggest share holders in the company are the China Aeronautical Machinery and Electronic (Group) Company and its subsidiary, the Changfeng Science and Technology Group.

The two major share holders have already developed such products as an automobile-carried digital satellite station for news coverage, a mobile satellite communications system and a stabilizer for satellite antenna on ships.

The other share holders are the Beijing municipal government-run Beijing Share Holding Company, the Beijing Guofu Investment Management Company and the Beijing Shouke Group.
