Paralympic Sport Rifle Record Equalled Twice

Korea's Kim Im-Youn and Nicole Michoux of France have equalled the Paralympic record in the qualifications for the women's 50-metre Sport Rifle 3 x 20 (SH1) competition, sharing a score of 566 points.

Kim already holds the Paralympic record as well as the world record and is the defending Paralympic champion in the event.

Sabine Brogle of Germany finished four points behind on 562 points and looks like being in a battle for bronze with Korea's Her Myung-Sook on 561 points.

Libby Kosmala, Australia's only competitor, finished on a total of 552 points and will go into the final a long way behind in sixth place.
