China to Launch Technological Projects in Western Areas
China will launch a series of projects aimed at developing technology in its western areas, Xu Guanhua, vice minister of Science and Technology, said at the Western Forum of China in Chengdu Sunday.
Those projects will include personnel training, international cooperation, and domestic research programs.
China has given priority to high-tech development over the last decade and announced plans to continue with that endeavor.
