Hong Kong's Telecom Company Steps into Mainland's IP MarketAccording to the agreement, said Chris Lee, chairman of the Hong Kong company, China Netcom can provide its clients with low-cost, high quality IP speech telecom services through his company's international network.The two sides will offer IP services for clients on the Chinese mainland, in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and all over the world, said Lee, who is attending the on-going Western Forum of China in Chengdu. China Netcom was jointly set up by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the Ministry of Railways and Shanghai Municipal Government in 1999. The company is mainly engaged in the construction of telecommunications infrastructure facilities and offer net telecom services. The WHEREVER.net Holding Corporation is a provider of IP phone services.
