Chinese Athlete Wins Paralympic Gold at Sydney Games

Chinese athlete Huang Wentao won the men's triple jump F12 title with a Paralympic record of 14.16 meters at the Paralympic Games Saturday in Sydney.

His mark of 14.16m at the first attempt broke the previous Paralympic record of 14.10 meters set by Spanish J Viedma at the Atlanta Paralympic Games in 1996.

Huang leapt to 14m and 13.79m at the two following attempts.
