First Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament to Be Held in Hong Kong

The first Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament organized by Hong Kong Volleyball Association is to be held Nov. 4 to 5 in Hong Kong. Eight countries and regions including China, Japan, Australia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Macao will join in the competition.

According to lots drawing, China, Japan, Australia and Vietnam will fight in Group A, leaving the rest in Group B. Hang Bo and Sun Jing of China will participate in the contest.

Beach Volleyball match was first made an Olympic event in 1996, and has resulted thus far in a spread of the sports in more than one hundred countries and regions throughout the world.
