Shanghai to Host Busworld Asia Show
Busworld Exposition, the earliest and the most important show in the globe's bus industry, has chosen Shanghai to host its Asia show in March, 2001.
Held annually in Belgium, Busworld Exposition serves as an essential indicator for the new trend of the development of world's bus industry.
After visiting China with the Belgian prince at the beginning of this year, Busworld decided to hold its Asia show in China's most developed city of Shanghai.
Shanghai was picked due to China's potential in the bus industry, said the Busworld.
It shows that the international bus industry has viewed the Chinese market favorably. The show will also grant China an opportunity to tap the international market, experts in Shanghai noted.
So far, major bus producers from Japan, the Republic of Korea, Belgium, Germany, the United States and China have shown interest in attending the show.
