Tibetan Senior Official Meets US Guest

Yang Chuantang, vice chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region, met Thursday in Chengdu with Fu Bo, manager of the US General Electric company in charge of the Chinese business.

Yang, who is attending the "Western Forum of China", said that the top 500 world enterprises will enjoy the favorable policy if they invest in Tibet.

He said that conducting more cooperation and utilizing foreign investment are the important strategy for the Tibetan government when it joins the grant strategy of developing the west region.

He added that he participates in this forum to strengthen the contacts with the world well-known enterprises and find out the areas for cooperation.

He noted that Tibet and the GE company can have cooperation in many ways.

Fu Bo voiced his belief that it is promising for enterprises to develop their business in Tibet, and GE will dispatch delegation to Tibet to find areas for cooperation.
