The First China Golden Eagle TV Art Festival opened Thursday in Changsha, capital city of central China's Hunan Province.
The Golden Eagle Prize, China's highest award for TV dramas and series, will be presented to this year's winners at the three-day festival, when seminars and parties will also be held.
The festival has attracted a number of film stars and singers from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries, according to the organizing committee.
The festival is based on the former China TV Golden Eagle Prize, an annual event initiated in 1983, and will be held annually in Changsha.
