China to Promote Authentication of Green Residence

An article carried in the Jiefang Daily says China will promote the system of authenticating green residences.

A green residence highlights the harmony between humans and nature. Water and energy saving materials are used, and domestic sewage and rubbish recycled so as to protect the environment.

As the concept gains popularity, more and more real estate developers are playing the green-house card.

But as the paper says, it seems many such dwellings are not worthy of the green label.

Thus authentication has becomes a necessity.

It says scholars and experts are working hard to set standards for these houses.
