China's Largest Silicon Production Base EstablishedChina's largest silicon production base -- Haina Semiconductor Ningbo Base was put into operation on Wednesday, in Ningbo city in east China's Zhejiang Province.The base was invested by Zhejiang University's Haina Technology Co. Ltd with 120 million yuan (approximately US $14.6 million). Meanwhile, a polishing production line, with annual production capability of two million pieces of integrated circuit polished silicon, was put in operation today. The production base now has the most advanced wax-mounting technique in China. Haina Semiconductor is the core enterprise of Zhejiang University, and is also the base of a state key lab. By the end of 1999, Zhejiang University's Haina Semiconductor had a sales volume over 100 million yuan (approximately US $12 million). |
